ATA was founded in 1998, held their first meeting in February of 1999 and made
their first investment in 1999. Today the group is comprised of approximately
fifty angels and has been an active funding source in Atlanta over the past
9 years.
ATA can provide assistance as well as funding to their portfolio companies.
Each angel is available to bring his or her unique set of skills to
ATA portfolio companies.

Knox
Massey has served as Managing Director of the Atlanta Technology Angels
since 2002. Knox is also a member of the Atlanta Technology Angels and an
active angel investor. The Atlanta Technology Angels has invested
approximately $30,000,000 in 40 Georgia-based companies since 1999.
In his role of Managing Director at ATA, Knox has participated in the
initial funding of over 15 companies which include Invistics, Qcept
Technologies, Oversight Systems, OpenSpan Software, Jacket Micro Devices,
Asankya, Zeewise, Pramana and Invirtus. Mr. Massey has also participated
in the execution of an additional 25+ financing rounds associated with ATA
portfolio companies. Prior to 2002, Mr. Massey held senior sales positions
at America Online, served in a management position at the WestWayne
Advertising Agency and worked within regional sales offices of the New York
Times Regional Newspaper Group (NYTRNG). Mr. Massey sits on the Board of
Directors of ATA and on the BOD of the Angel Capital Association. Mr. Massey
holds an MBA from the GEM Program at Georgia State University.
